Career Services at Great Southern TAFE is committed to equipping students with the skills and links to accessing employment. Our on-campus staff offer FREE advice and assistance to current and prospective students on a variety of employment related matters. The service is divided into two sections comprised of Employment Services and Career Guidence.
Employment Services
This specialist service is designed to build confidence and employability skills which are recognised as critical factors in achieving a successful career pathway. We offer FREE support for students and graduates in writing resumes, addressing selection criteria, preparing job applications and developing job interview skills. Drop in sessions, group workshops and one on one consultations are available to help you plan for your future. Sessions incorporate up to date information from industry and employment networks.

Career Guidance
Our Career Guidance staff are qualified to assist you with career planning and goal setting, informally or using recognised tools and programs. We will provide you with information about the TAFE application process, study skills, learning support, course articulation and further study options, skills recognition, and credit transfer. We have a range of course brochures which make it easy to see how training and learning can help you achieve your career dreams.
Staff can also support you with personal issues such as managing stress and financial matters, which may impact on your study goals. For any matters outside our expertise, we can refer you to more specialised staff, agencies and services. Our Career Guidance Coordinator offers comprehensive, individual careers and course advice to current and prospective students who are unsure of their career direction.
